Overseas Thermal Power Plant Application: Revolution in Energy Production from Low Waste Heat

RePG Energy has revolutionized energy efficiency by using "Low Grade Waste Heat" sources below 100°C for electricity production with its patented technologies. Globally, environments such as hot water, gas, steam, or hot oil are typically used for electricity generation at temperatures well above 100°C. However, RePG Energy has developed industrial and residential products that can utilize low-temperature waste heat between 60°C and 100°C. These products not only generate electricity but also provide heating and cooling.

Revolutionary Results

RePG Energy's tests have achieved groundbreaking results in energy production from low-temperature waste heat:
- With 90°C Incoming Water: Producing 3.7kW net electricity per hour, yielding 88kWh of energy over 24 hours. This is equivalent to the electricity needs of 10 homes.
- With 70°C Incoming Water: Producing 1.8kW net electricity per hour, yielding 43kWh of energy over 24 hours. This is equivalent to the electricity needs of 4-5 homes.
- With 60°C Incoming Water: Producing 0.9kW net electricity per hour, yielding 22kWh of energy over 24 hours. This is equivalent to the electricity needs of 2-3 homes.

During these tests, RePG achieved a historic milestone in electricity generation from 60°C waste heat. With 60°C water input and 28°C cold water input, it exceeded the 1.0kWh energy production threshold. When the outside air temperature is below 20°C, this production can reach 1.5kWh!

Application Areas and Future Potential

RePG Energy's technology is not only applicable in Türkiye but also in overseas thermal power plants, providing 70-90°C hot water for bathing, washing, and heating in homes, making electricity generation from this hot water possible. One such project was validated through a proof-of-concept study at RePG’s R&D center in Bursa and implemented overseas.

Zero Waste Heat Target: A Significant Development for Geothermal Resource-Rich Countries like Türkiye

In Türkiye, over 120,000 homes in regions such as Afyon, Aydın, Denizli, and İzmir are heated by geothermal hot water. With RePG Energy's technology, these homes can generate their own electricity. With instantaneous production of 4+kW per home, this equates to 500 Megawatts (0.5 Gigawatts) of instantaneous power and approximately 4,000 Gigawatts of electricity annually nationwide. Additionally, more than 3,000 idle geothermal wells could be converted into electricity production sources thanks to RePG Energy.

RePG Flue Gas Waste Heat Application: A Major Step in Waste Energy Recovery and Electricity Generation in Factories!

Hayat Kimya and RePG, in collaboration with industry and startups, proudly celebrates an important milestone in its energy recovery project, achieving the “ZERO WASTE HEAT” goal. Hayat Kimya, which wants to achieve the goal of generating electricity from waste heat below 100°C and reducing carbon emissions through energy recovery from Stack Waste Heat (72-100°C), chooses RePG technology and products.

RePG has successfully tested and implemented its largest turbine to date in a production facility of a globally operating company. The system, with a net installation capacity of 75kW, has shown successful results, indicating significant potential for future applications.

Energy Recovery and Production Figures: - Daily Net Energy Production: 0.80+ MW - 8 MW in 10 days, over 24+ MW of electricity production per month - More than 300+ MW per year and exceeding 1 GW in 3 years These figures serve as an example for many factories, industrial zones, and buildings worldwide aiming to produce their own energy. Embarking on the journey with the motto “Zero Waste Heat,” RePG Energy will also serve as a significant reference and inspiration for carbon emission reduction projects.

Technical Details:

- A RePG system, occupying only 15 square meters, can produce the same 0.8 MW of energy daily as a solar power plant with at least 200 KW installed capacity (2 acres).
- The system, with a net output of 40 KW, achieves an annual emission reduction of 145+ tons. Additionally, the REPG system produces all the electricity (25+ KW) needed for its own internal and external consumption.
- The RePG system generates over 65+ KW of gross electricity production instantaneously, covering its own energy needs.
This application is redefining energy recovery technologies, standards, and expectations in the field of sustainability and renewable energy, not only in Türkiye but globally. Through the collaboration of industry and RePG, we continue to work towards a cleaner and greener world.

RePG Energy plans to extend its patented low-grade waste heat (50-99°C) electricity, heating, and cooling production technology and products to Europe, Asia, and Africa by the end of 2024, thanks to leading industrial companies.

Thanks to the 24/7 Continuously Operating Natural Gas Boiler, the RePG System can operate as a “STEAM TURBINE”. For REPG Systems to generate energy, 3 basic components must be connected very efficiently.

3. Natural Gas Supported RePG Systems

Electricity Generation from Waste Heat in Natural Gas Boilers

Thanks to the Natural Gas Boiler in the industries, if the “Hot Water” supplied to the buildings is connected to the RePG System to the hot water inlet, the RePG System can operate as an uninterrupted power supply. Thanks to the 24/7 Continuously Operating Natural Gas Boiler, the RePG System can operate as a “STEAM TURBINE”. In order for RePG Systems to produce energy, 3 basic components must be connected very efficiently.

4. Waste Heat - Coal / Pellet Boiler RePG Systems

It generates electricity from waste heat in Coal Stoves and Pellet Boilers with its patented T3 Turbine.

With the Coal / Pellet Stove Boiler in Industries, if the “Hot Water” supplied to the buildings is connected to the hot water inlet to the RePG System, the RePG System can operate as an uninterrupted power supply. Thanks to the 7×24 Continuous Boiler, the RePG System can operate as a “STEAM TURBINE”.

4. Waste Heat - Coal / Pellet Boiler RePG Systems

It generates electricity from waste heat in Coal Stoves and Pellet Boilers with its patented T3 Turbine.

With the Coal / Pellet Stove Boiler in Industries, if the “Hot Water” supplied to the buildings is connected to the hot water inlet to the RePG System, the RePG System can operate as an uninterrupted power supply. Thanks to the 7×24 Continuous Boiler, the RePG System can operate as a “STEAM TURBINE”.

5. Industrial Chimneys Waste Heat RePG Systems

It generates electricity from the waste heat in industrial chimneys with the patented T3 Turbine.

If the “Hot Water” given to the workplace is connected to the hot water inlet of the RePG System thanks to the Pellet Boiler, the RePG System can operate as an uninterrupted power supply. Thanks to the 7×24 Continuous Pellet Boiler, the RePG System can operate as a “STEAM TURBINE”.

5. Industrial Chimneys Waste Heat RePG Systems

It generates electricity from the waste heat in industrial chimneys with the patented T3 Turbine.

If the “Hot Water” given to the workplace is connected to the hot water inlet of the RePG System thanks to the Pellet Boiler, the RePG System can operate as an uninterrupted power supply. Thanks to the 7×24 Continuous Pellet Boiler, the RePG System can operate as a “STEAM TURBINE”.

6. Industrial Type Geothermal Heat RePG Systems

It generates 10 to 30 kW of electrical energy throughout the day with Geothermal Heat resources.

Turkey is the world’s 4th richest country in terms of geothermal resources and is among the top 5 countries in terms of electricity production from these sources. For electricity generation out of Geothermal Sources, sources with a minimum of 120 °C and a very high flow rate are needed.

Thanks to its technology, RePG can generate electrical energy from any GEOTHERMAL hot water that is above 100 °C or below 90 °C!

6. Industrial Type Geothermal Heat RePG Systems

It generates 10 to 30 kW of electrical energy throughout the day with Geothermal Heat resources.

Turkey is the world’s 4th richest country in terms of geothermal resources and is among the top 5 countries in terms of electricity production from these sources. For electricity generation out of Geothermal Sources, sources with a minimum of 120 °C and a very high flow rate are needed.

Thanks to its technology, RePG can generate electrical energy from any GEOTHERMAL hot water that is above 100 °C or below 90 °C!

Remote Smart Tracking, Production and Service Management System
